Fort Abraham Lincoln Foundation bylaws state in Article III:

Section 1: Composition and Roles; The Board of Directors (“The Board”) shall be responsible for the governance of the organization and its operations. The Board shall have members nominated by fellow directors or referred by the Executive Director, all subject to an election votes carried out by the board according to the procedures set forth by the Board.

Section 2: Compensation; The entire Board of Directors shall serve without compensation, either directly or indirectly in a voluntary role.
